Terms and appointment policies

These policies govern appointment requests, confirmations, and services provided by Kam's Notary Service LLC.

1. Requests are not confirmations

Any appointment submitted through this website is a request only. Kam personally reviews every request. An appointment exists only after Kam confirms the date, time, and location directly with you. Same-day needs should be made by phone or text.

2. Identification and signer requirements

Every signer must be personally present with valid, unexpired government-issued photo identification, must be aware of the transaction, and must sign willingly. Kam must decline the notarization if these conditions are not met.

3. No legal advice

Kam is a notary public, not an attorney. Kam cannot give legal advice, select documents, explain the legal effect of a document, or prepare documents. Consult a licensed Ohio attorney for legal guidance.

4. Fees

Ohio law caps the fee that may be charged per notarial act. Travel, wait time, printing, and after-hours fees are separate from notarial fees and are agreed in advance.

5. Cancellations, delays, and travel fees

Please notify Kam as early as possible if you need to reschedule. If Kam travels to the agreed location and the appointment cannot be completed — for example, missing identification, missing signers, incomplete documents, or a signer who is unable to proceed — an agreed travel fee may still apply.

6. Refusal of service

Kam will refuse or stop an appointment where required or permitted by law, including suspected fraud or coercion, incomplete documents, an unsafe environment, or a signer who cannot be properly identified or does not appear to understand the transaction.

7. Apostille courier limitations

Kam provides courier and logistics support only. Kam is not a government agency, does not control state processing times, and cannot guarantee acceptance of a document by any receiving authority. Government filing fees are separate.

8. Form I-9 services

I-9 verification is performed as an authorized representative of the employer and is not a notarial act. The employer remains responsible for compliance and for the accuracy of the completed form.

9. Limitation of liability

Kam's Notary Service LLC maintains Notary Errors and Omissions insurance. Except where prohibited by law, liability is limited to the fees paid for the affected appointment. E&O insurance protects against unintentional notarial errors; it is not legal representation.

10. Governing law

These policies are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, and services are performed in accordance with Ohio notary law.
